Somatics for Resilience
Here’s a resource created for the radical librarians out there, particularly those of the Oakland Public Library and the Children’s Librarians of Northern California.
Libraries are places of care, connection, and constant adaptation. They’re places of community, and this kind of work asks a lot of the nervous system. This resource offers simple, accessible somatic practices designed to support resilience in real time. Rather than pushing through stress, these practices invite you to notice and reconnect with your body so you can sustain your energy, presence, and sense of self in the midst of everyday demands. Use this guide as a companion—returning to it in the small and BIG moments throughout your day to support steadiness, clarity, and care.
